NATO acts as if everything is fine and the only issue is that girls don't have enough opportunities to get an education.
As long as I am still breathing, no female will ever enter the hallowed halls of that den of iniquity known as a classroom. Premier Hasan Akhund of the Taliban said as much, finally setting the record straight on where his administration stands on sending girls and young women to school after they have been out of school for over 400 days and are seeing their living quarters decrease daily.
Even if schools did reopen, however, many girls and women would be barred from attending since they have been told for months they cannot leave their homes more than a set distance without a male guardian.
Because of this, kids who don't have dads, brothers, spouses, or uncles who can take them somewhere are essentially trapped at home.
The Taliban's Anti-Directive Women's
However, they would be completely lost. Even as recently as a few days ago, women and girls were barred from entering public parks and amusement parks in the nation's capital. The Taliban's recent edict to restrict access to gardens and amusement parks to women exclusively on certain days evidently wasn't enough, and now women are expected to remain permanently housebound.
They may, and often do, spend hours waiting outside of bakeries in the hope that passing customers would buy them enough bread to feed their families.
In reality, if you are a widow on your own, you won't be able to support yourself or your kids. If you join a demonstration, you risk being sent to prison or perhaps killed. Because women, per the god of Afghanistan's rulers' dictates, need a male to "defend" them by beating them till they are black and blue and raping them if necessary, you end up marrying any Taliban member.
Four female journalists and six female activists have been detained and are missing in the previous two weeks. And it can only get worse from here. Not just women and girls, but an entire population, are held as hostages by the criminal cabal in control.
Policies that are very strict and adhere to Sharia law
Afghan judges have been commanded by the shadowy commander of the terrorist organisation controlling Kabul, Haibatullah Akhundzada, to fully and gloriously enforce Sharia law. This includes harsh punishments like amputation for thieves and whipping or stoning for adulteresses.
A notion that is both contemporary and civilized—"an eye for an eye"—serves as the basis for the law. Soon (it's already occurring in rural areas), we'll witness women being stoned to death and gays crushed to death by trucks at Kabul stadium again.
The Taliban, after all, have never been coy about their goals. The shocking thing isn't the predicted disaster that's happening in Afghanistan; it's the hypocrisy and bad faith of the West.
An influential member of NATO recently boasted at a summit, "We have taken away those who were collaborating with us, and we are doing an excellent job in compelling the Taliban to maintain the commitments made." Which pacts?
The genocide of the civilian population? Destruction of every semblance of civil and human rights? Do Pakistani jihadi organisations deserve the franchise rights to run terrorist training camps? The prominent government positions held by Al-Qaeda members?
Kabul has fallen under a shroud of shameful quiet, pierced only by the cry to restore schools. However, this is about more than simply women and girls; it is about a whole country that is at the whim of terrorists for whom numerous nations and the United Nations have put up bounties.
Corruption is a disease that threatens human rights. Kabul
All the while we're having this conversation about girls' education, the Americans are helping the Afghan Central Bank work with a Polish and French firm to make and distribute new bank notes to the Taliban regime.
In addition, Shah Mehrabi, a member of the board of directors of the Afghan Central Bank, has sworn under oath and under penalty of perjury that the newly printed bills will not be used to finance illicit activities or to fund the government, but will only replace the old ones. This is part of the $3.5 million that was transferred to Switzerland from the funds frozen to the terrorist government in Kabul.
In addition, the Taliban "are good folks," as we all know. The United States remains silent, and NATO acts as if everything is OK and the only issue is females' lack of educational opportunities.
Until, that is, another terrorist assault is plotted in Pakistan, approved by China, and carried out in Afghanistan. We all know that history tends to repeat itself, and unlike Western administrations, it does not have a short memory. This film has been watched before, and we know how it ends.
