Delhi: In a strategic move aimed at bolstering revenue, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has officially announced its decision to lease out the state-of-the-art Karkardooma office complex for a period of 30 years. The move comes after the corporation approved the minimum rent for the office spaces at Rs. 115 per square foot.

The premium office complex, situated in the Karkardooma Institutional area, boasts three blocks constructed over an expansive plot size of 22,918 square meters. Block A features a Ground plus five floors configuration, Block B comprises a Basement plus five floors, and Block C stands tall with 12 stories and a carpet area exceeding 1 lakh square feet. "All three blocks are ready to be leased out by the Corporation," affirmed the MCD.

Equipped with modern amenities, the office complex ensures a conducive working environment, including air-conditioning, power backup, firefighting systems, and CCTV surveillance. Notably, it houses a robust 190 KLD Sewerage Treatment Plant, aligning with environmental sustainability measures.

The strategic location of the Karkardooma office complex, combined with its contemporary infrastructure and amenities, is expected to attract a diverse range of entities seeking prime office spaces in the heart of the capital. The 30-year lease period adds a long-term aspect to this venture, providing stability for both the lessees and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi.

The approval of a minimum rent of Rs. 115 per square foot reflects the corporation's prudent approach to ensure a fair and competitive leasing process. This rate is expected to be an attractive proposition for potential tenants, considering the premium location and top-notch facilities offered by the office complex.

The move aligns with the municipality's efforts to explore innovative revenue-generation avenues and optimize the utilization of its assets. The leasing of the Karkardooma office complex is poised to create a win-win situation, fostering collaboration between government bodies and the municipal authority while bolstering the financial health of the Delhi Municipal Corporation.
