Heeraben Modi, the mother of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, passed dead at the age of 100. Heeraben Modi, the mother of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, passed away in an Ahmedabad hospital today, or on December 30, 2022.

When he announced her passing, Prime Minister Modi remarked that a golden century lay at the feet of God.

 

"In Maa I have always felt that trinity, which encompasses the journey of an ascetic, the symbol of a selfless Karmayogi, and a life committed to ideals," the prime minister wrote in a moving letter."

 

The prime minister added in another tweet, "When I met her on her 100th birthday, she told one thing that I will always remember: work with intelligence, live life with purity."

 

Heeraben, commonly known as Heeraba, used to reside with PM Modi's younger brother Pankaj Modi in the Raysan hamlet outside of Gandhinagar. During the majority of his trips to Gujarat, the prime minister used to frequently stop by Raysan to spend time with her.

 

Due to some medical concerns, she was hospitalised on Wednesday morning to the highly specialised UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Center. Her condition was said to be improving on Thursday by hospital administrators. Heeraben would shortly be released, according to a statement from the Gujarat Chief Minister's Office (CMO). In Gujarat's Vadodara earlier on Thursday, members of the "Dharmayatra Mahasangh" prayed at the temple and chanted the "Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra" for the "well health" of Prime Minister Modi. The Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath temple committee prayed for Heeraben's quick recovery earlier in the day.

 

According to sources cited by news agency ANI, PM Modi, who was supposed to travel to West Bengal to officially unveil the development projects, may participate in the festivities via video conference. PM Modi has reportedly left for Ahmedabad, according to sources.

 

"PM Modi flagged off the Vande Bharat train in Howrah, Kolkata, and other railway development projects under Namami Gange before departing for Ahmedabad, where the National Ganga Council meeting is scheduled to take place. PM Modi might participate through video conference "sources reported.

 

Bhupendra Patel, the chief minister of Gujarat, expressed sorrow at the passing of Prime Minister Modi's mother, Heeraben Modi.

 

"Deeply saddened by the loss of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi's mother Pujya Hiraba," he stated in a tweet. Pujya Hiraba was the personification of generosity, simplicity, toil, and high moral standards. I want God to grant peace to his soul."

 

Additionally expressing his sympathies, Union Minister Rajnath Singh stated, "I am terribly pained by the demise of Hira Ba, mother of Prime Minister Shri Narendramodi. A mother's death creates a hole in a person's life that is impossible to replace. I offer the Prime Minister and his entire family my condolences during this difficult time. Prana Shanti!"

 

"It is very upsetting to learn about the passing of revered Mataji Hira Ba, who served as the Prime Minister ji. The home minister wrote that a mother is a person's first friend and teacher, and losing her is unquestionably the worst agony imaginable.
