Indian Woman's Marriage to Facebook Friend in Pakistan Sparks Family Disapproval and Investigation In Gwalior, India, Gaya Prasad Thomas expresses sorrow over his daughter's marriage to a Facebook friend in Pakistan Gwalior resident, Anju, traveled to Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and married her Facebook friend, Nasrullah, on Tuesday, sparking disapproval from her family. Anju's father, Gaya Prasad Thomas, expressed his disappointment, stating that she is "as good as dead for the family" and that she has no right to return to India. He called for strict punishment for her actions, believing that people who engage in such behavior deserve to be penalized. Moreover, Thomas emphasized that Anju should not have any rights to take her two children with her, citing the sanctity of India and expressing shame for his daughter's actions. He even urged the government to remove his name from her daughter's name due to the association with her actions. Anju, a married woman with two children from Rajasthan, allegedly crossed the border to Pakistan to meet her lover, Nasrullah. Unlike previous similar cases, Anju was granted entry into Pakistan on the basis of a visa. Anju's husband, Arvind Kumar, claimed that before her departure, she informed him of visiting a friend in Jaipur. He was shocked by the news of her presence in Lahore and had no knowledge of how she obtained the visa. The Rajasthan Police initiated a preliminary investigation into the matter, led by Bhiwadi ASP Sujit Shankar. The initial assessment points towards a possible love affair, but authorities will look into the matter thoroughly and take action if any fake documents were used during her travel. This incident echoes a previous case where a Pakistani national, Seema Haider, illegally crossed into India to be with her Indian lover she met through the online game PUBG.
