New Delhi, December 2, 2023: A leopard was seen in Sainik Farm, and the forest department is taking quick action. Subodh Kumar, a forest officer, shared that two teams are on the ground, responding to the situation.
"We got a call about a leopard sighting at night. With the help of local police, we looked around at 9:30 am and found the leopard near a farmhouse," said Kumar.
The leopard is fully grown, weighing around 80 to 90 kg, raising concerns for everyone's safety.
The forest department has set up two cages to catch the leopard safely. People are being told to stay away from these areas to avoid any risks.
Two videos are circulating on social media showing the leopard near a farmhouse. In one, a police officer runs as the leopard jumps from a wall into the jungle.
Around 40 people from the forest department and Delhi Police are in Sainik Farm, making sure everything is under control.
Residents are urged to stay alert and follow safety instructions while the forest department works to handle the situation. Updates will be shared as things progress.
