A 108-foot-tall bronze monument of Sri Nadaprabhu Kempegowda was inaugurated in Bengaluru by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The "Statue of Prosperity" was created to honour the contributions of Bengaluru's founder, Nadaprabhu Kempegowda.

Ram V. Sutar, who also oversaw the creation of the Statue of Unity, conceptualised and sculpted the statue. 98 tonnes of bronze and 120 tonnes of steel were used to create the "Statue of Prosperity."

Nadaprabhu Heye The name Kempe Gowda is also used for this person. He belonged to the Vijayanagara Empire as a chieftain. Kempe Gowda fortified Bengaluru, the seat of Karnataka's government, in 1537.

In the area, he built numerous Kannada inscriptions. One of the most intelligent monarchs in history was Kempe Gowda.

Kempe Gowda ruled for almost 56 years before his death in 1569. He purportedly passed away on the spot at Kempapura, a village in Magadi, while returning from Kunigal, according to the 16th-century Kannada epitaph on his tomb, after resolving a conflict.

On March 7, 2015, Prashanth Marur, a college employee turned historian, unintentionally discovered Kempe Gowda's grave while passing near Kempapura. Moreover, it was verified by a team of historians who went to the tomb.

After his father's passing, it's supposed that Kempe Gowda II constructed the monument. Following verification, Marur penned a piece that appeared in Vijayavani on September 3, 2015.

Kempe Gowda supported education and the arts. He was a polyglot and wrote Gangagaurivilasa, a Yakshagana play, in Telugu, the time's court language while coming from a community where everyone spoke Kannada.

The statue has been placed at Bangalore's international airport. Ram V. Sutar, a recipient of the Padma Shri award, is also credited with creating the statues of Mahatma Gandhi at Vidhana Soudha in Bangalore and the Statue of Unity in Gujarat.

As the "first and highest bronze statue of a founder of a city," the statue has been listed in the Guinness Book of Records.
