UAE minister praises India at Bengaluru Tech Summit, says future tech will be Indian

Indian innovations would leave their mark on the future for "everyone and everywhere," UAE Minister Omar bin Sultan Al Olama said on Wednesday, according to a PTI report.

"Our firm view is that India is not just the past and the present, but also the future, and that the future will have (an) Indian fingerprint on it for everyone and everywhere," he added.

In his talk, Al Olama said that although IT hubs like Bengaluru play a role, innovations can be found all over the world.

But it's got an Indian stamp on it, since Indians are creating the future of technology in all sorts of locations, as the UAE Minister of State in charge of the digital economy, telecommuting policies, and AI put it. He said India will also become the dominant power in other domains.

At Asia's biggest technology event, Al Olama was cited as stating, "I don't believe that it is simply the future of technology that is going to be led by India." He went on to claim that India would have a significant impact on the future of technology, education, banking, and many other industries.

Earlier this year, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and India reached an agreement on a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), which he was certain would pave the way for a new technological age.

The UAE minister went on to say that the partnership between India, Israel, the UAE, and the United States (abbreviated as "I2U2") will become a paradigm for future international alliances.

If firms in the technology industry want to export their ideas to areas in Africa and the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates will be their "natural springboard," according to Al Olama.
