  • A Few Facts and Incidents Concerning Queen Elizabeth II

The longest reigning monarch of the United Kingdom, Queen Elizabeth II, was no ordinary woman. Here are some of the major anecdotes about her life and personality. Elizabeth II, who had ruled the United Kingdom for 70 years, passed away at the age of 96 on Thursday, September 8 at her Balmoral home in Scotland, surrounded by her closest friends and family. The following day, Prince Charles was crowned King of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland as Charles III, according to the order of succession. However, no one was aware of what caused Elizabeth II's passing. Princess Elizabeth's standing was similar to that of Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie of York today throughout the first ten years of her life, but all changed after the death of her grandpa, King George V, in 1936. The next monarch in line was Elizabeth's uncle Edward VIII, who gave up the monarchy less than a year after ascending to it in order to wed Wallis Simpson, an American socialite. Since Edward didn't have any children at the time, Elizabeth's father, Albert, who succeeded to the throne as George VI, made the then-10-year-old Elizabeth the first in line to succeed to the throne. Heirs apparently do not simply enrol in elementary school like other students. Instead, Elizabeth had private religious instruction from the Archbishop of Canterbury while receiving tutoring at home from several professors, including Henry Marten, vice-provost of Eton College (which is currently exclusively for boys). Elizabeth didn't necessarily lack an education just because she didn't go to school. She received most of it from Marion Crawford, her nanny, also known as "Crawfie" by the Royal Family. The Little Princesses, a 1953 tell-all book written without the Royal Family's consent that detailed Crawford's interactions with Elizabeth when she was younger, led to Crawford's eventual exclusion from the Royal Family. On November 20, 1947, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, who were third cousins, were wed. They both had Queen Victoria and Prince Albert as great-great-grandparents. She enjoyed a variety of activities, such as horseback riding, pigeon racing, and football. She was a fan of Arsenal! Despite visiting more than 115 nations throughout her hundreds of official state visits, Elizabeth II was the most travelled head of state in history and didn't even have a passport. She didn't technically require a passport because they are all officially issued in the Queen's name. She was the only person in the UK who could drive without a permit, and she continued to do so well into her advanced age! Corgis were the Queen's preferred breed of dog. She even created the "dorgi," a new breed of dog created when her Corgi mated with a Dachshund owned by her sister, Princess Margaret.

  • AB de Villiers works with the MAD NGO to mentor underprivileged children in India.

AB de Villiers, who played for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL and represented South Africa in all three forms of cricket, has volunteered his time to Make A Difference (MAD). The NGO works with children in India who need care and protection, and it has created a prosperity model that comprises working with kids from the time they are 10 years old until they are 28 years old and have settled down in life with stable income levels. Notably, the NGO aids 3,500 children annually throughout India thanks to its distinctive prosperity model, which is supported by 4,000 volunteers. In response to a question about the partnership, AB De Villiers said, "I am happy to be associated with MAD and will mentor two young people supported by the team. "The NGO offers consistent support to children born into extremely difficult circumstances until they break the cycle of poverty. Their work is incredible." Over the next six months, De Villiers will provide mentoring to two recipients: Anitha, 21, a journalism student in Bangalore, and 18-year-old Ayan from Lucknow, who recently completed his high school education and hopes to play cricket at the under-19 level and maybe for India. A true South African great, AB de Villiers was a 360-degree batter who could hit any ball, anywhere, against any bowler. He was a fielder who could leap tall buildings and yet come up with the catch and who would gladly take up the wicketkeeping position if necessary. In case all of that wasn't impressive enough, he was also a skilled tennis, golf, and rugby player.

  • The recent surge in young heart attack victims

There are countless factors and worries that might influence someone's cardiovascular system and trigger heart attacks, but some are more common and dangerous than others. Not long ago, heart attacks were primarily a problem faced by older adults. It was rare for anyone younger than 40 to have a heart attack. One in five heart attack patients is younger than 40 years of age. Another alarming data point to emphasise the issue is this: heart attacks are more likely in people in their 20s or early 30s. Between 2000 and 2016, the rate of heart attacks in this age group increased by 2% per year. A disturbing trend—a rise in the frequency of heart attacks in younger adults—has been highlighted by new research, which was presented at the American College of Cardiology's 2019 conference. The study was the first to compare "very young" heart attack survivors to "young" survivors who were between the ages of 41 and 50 (age 40 or younger). The percentage of people under 40 who experienced a heart attack rose by 2% annually during the past ten years. There can be innumerable causes and concerns that can affect a person’s cardiovascular system, but some are more prevalent and riskier than their counterparts. In comparison to those without diabetes, those with diabetes have a 2-to-4-fold increased risk of dying from cardiac disease. A problem arises when your blood sugar cannot be kept under control at a healthy level. Your blood vessels are damaged by high blood sugar, which increases the likelihood of fat accumulating in your arteries and leading to atherosclerosis. Patients with diabetes are also more likely to have other chronic health conditions, such as high blood pressure and high cholesterol, which greatly increase the risk of a heart attack. High blood pressure, sometimes known as hypertension, is one of the leading causes of cardiovascular disease. Unfortunately, the incidence of hypertension is increasing more quickly in young adults than in older adults, which is similar to the trend in heart attacks. High blood pressure damages your blood vessels, thickens the heart muscles, and raises your risk of having a heart attack. Substance abuse also takes a toll on your heart. Though experts are still studying the effect of marijuana on your heart, they know that it boosts your heart rate and raises your risk of having a heart attack. Cocaine’s impact on your heart, however, is well established. Cocaine increases your heart rate, tightens your blood vessels, and raises your blood pressure, all of which are associated with heart attacks. Smoking is one of the leading risk factors for heart attacks in young adults among all other risk factors. Your risk of having a heart attack rises according to how many cigarettes you smoke. When compared to nonsmokers, smoking one pack of cigarettes per day more than doubles your risk of having a heart attack. While cigarette smoking has a much higher chance of causing a heart attack compared with vaping, you’re still not off the hook if you vape. E-cigarettes contain nicotine and other toxic compounds that accelerate your heart rate and raise your blood pressure. A recent study found that vaping made you 34% more likely to have a heart attack compared with non-vapers. Furthermore, studies have shown evidence that, in people with underlying cardiac disease, high-intensity exercise might sharply raise the risk of sudden cardiac arrest or sudden cardiac death. The minority of people who have hypertrophic cardiomyopathy or coronary heart disease may be at an increased risk for heart rhythm abnormalities as a result of this. Though extremely long-term endurance exercise places similar significant demands on the cardiovascular system, that doesn't mean you should put your walking shoes away. In their thirties, people rarely develop heart disease, but they should be cautious. You should have no issues as you age if you start taking care of your health in your thirties and monitor your blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar levels.

  • Major life commitments and defining milestones for "The Big Bull" Rakesh Jhunjhunwala

A tribute to the "Warren Buffet" of India, who made some of his most significant investments and exhibited revolutionary decision-making abilities. Rakesh Jhunjhunwala was born on July 5th, 1960. His father was an income tax officer. Rakesh enrolled in Sydenham College, Mumbai in 1985 and became a Chartered Accountant soon after. He made his lucrative investment in Tata Tea in 1986 during his formative years as an investor. Jhunjhunwala was well renowned for his stock market forecasts and upbeat outlooks and was frequently referred to as "India's Warren Buffett" or the "Big Bull of India." A "bull" investor is one who buys an asset or commodity on the belief that prices will increase and then sells it for a profit. A market that is projected to experience price growth is said to be bullish. In 1988, he sold shares of SESA Goa and earned his first significant profit. He had purchased 2.5 lakh Sesa Goa shares for 28 rupees and an additional 2.5 lakh shares for 35 rupees. Sesa Goa's cost rose to 65 rupees after six months. In 1991, the big bull bought 14k shares of ACC at Rs. 535/share. He placed a large bet on cement majors despite believing that overall market valuations were quite high, and despite ACC being quoted at very high valuations, he sold it at Rs. 3,400-3,500/share. This incident was before the Harshad Mehta scam came to light, ending the epic bull run. Rakesh Jhunjhunwala alluded to Harshad Mehta's heyday as a well-known figure on Dalal Street. He thought Mehta sold stocks during that time because he was aware that the money was the proceeds of deception. Rakesh Jhunjhunwala frequently urged investors to adhere to market reality and refrain from following anyone without conducting their own research. His net worth was Rs 1 crore in 1988 after a streak of profitable trades, rising to Rs 200 crore in 1993. Rakesh Jhunjhunwala has been investing for 35 years, and during most of that period, he has demonstrated his bullish tendencies, even while other more seasoned, larger, and more seasoned investors of the time were openly negative. At an average cost of Rs. 23 per share, Jhunjhunwala purchased Titan shares. He became a crorepati largely because of the Titan Company. The stock closed at Rs 2,471.95 on the BSE on August 12, 2022, and Jhunjhunwala possessed those stocks worth Rs 11,086.9 crore with a holding of 5.10 percent or 4,48,50,970 shares in the most recent quarter. The stock was worth Rs 30 to Rs 32 when he bought it 20 years ago. The newest "Big Bull" in the more regulated market had less baggage on his front than names like Harshad Mehta and Ketan Parekh, whose rise to fame was soiled with scam connections. In 2004, he created RARE Enterprises to manage his portfolio. The name came from merging his and his wife's names together; RA for "Rakesh". RE for "Rekha". his wife Along with his success in the stock market, Mr. Rakesh also made it onto the Forbes List of Billionaires in 2008 at position 1062. He then made his debut film, "English Vinglish," as a producer. The movie starred the renowned actress Shri Devi. On August 7,2022, he made an investment in the low-cost commercial airline AKASA Air and joined its founding team. Upon entering the aviation industry, he stated in an interview, "We'll see how the airline does (Akasa Air). If I fail, I'll claim ignorance. However, I am ready to fail. I am aware of all the hazards involved as well as the potential rewards. Life is a risk-reward equation after all, and I was fortunate to have the best management team. On the morning of August 14, Rakesh became sick and was taken to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, where he passed away at around 6:30 a.m. The doctors then reported that he had acute multiple organ failure and kidney-related issues.

Actor Amir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha has been the talk of the town since its trailer's release. The movie is consistently in the news for both good and bad reasons. • Over 650 passenger trains are expected to be cancelled due to a coal shortage

As the country scrambles to refill depleted supplies at power plants in order to prevent a full-blown power crisis, the Indian Railways plans to cancel over 650 passenger trains to allow for speedier coal carriage movement. On Friday, protests protesting power outages erupted outside Punjab Power Minister Harbhajan Singh's home. According to railway sources, 657 passenger trains, including 500 mail and express train journeys and 148 commuter train excursions, will be cancelled to allow coal rakes to move more quickly. Over the following two months, the railways intend to increase the number of coal rakes passing through. According to Bloomberg, Gaurav Krishna Bansal, an executive director of Indian Railways, said, "The measure is temporary, and passenger services would be restored as soon as the situation normalises." According to him, the state-run operator is attempting to reduce the time it takes to transport coal to power plants. Satyendar Jain, the Delhi Power Minister, stated on Friday that because the entire country is experiencing power outages owing to a coal shortage with no backup, the best way to address the crisis would be for the Centre to give more coal. He claimed that power cannot be conserved and that Delhi does not have enough coal for the next 21 days. On Thursday, Jain convened an emergency meeting at the Delhi Secretariat to discuss the coal shortfall and submitted a letter to the Centre requesting additional coal for thermal power plants. The Delhi government claimed that disruptions in power supply from the Dadri and Unchahar thermal power plants could affect the national capital's 24-hour power supply to the Delhi Metro, hospitals, and other key institutions. According to the National Power Portal's daily coal report, coal is in short supply at many of the National Thermal Power Corporation's power plants (NTPC). On Friday, Bihar's power minister, Bijendra Prasad Yadav, also brought up the subject of coal scarcity. "There is a shortage of roughly 1000 MW, but it will be resolved in a day or two," he added, adding that conversations with the central government had also taken place. However, Union Power Ministry sources told News18 if states are facing a power crisis it is because of coal supply issues. “States have not released payment for coal leading to this crisis. There is no problem with power plants… They continue to function." The Delhi government has informed that only one day’s coal stock is left at the Dadri-II power plant, Unchahar power plant has two days’ stock, three-and-a-half days’ stock is left in Kahalgaon, Farakka has five days’ stock, while Jhajjar (Aravalli) has seven to eight days’ stock left with it.
